Went to work this morning in darkness, which is the case at this time of year. Dang snow....I had to brush it off my windows. After work, I headed to a park which I have been hunting at intervals, gridding different sections on those days. I was quite surprise, to get a couple of rings, not to mention a "GOLD." Good old blind hog luck in my books, and a Garrett Scorpion, which tends to really bang hard on gold and silver rings. ;)

Awesome!:super:Congrats on the gold and silver!:cheers:Nice clad haul, too!:detecting:Looks like that one coin got hit by a mower(which is common):biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

well done , i like the look of your $2 coins ,ours are as small as the golg center:detecting:

Fab day! I sure hope I have one more gold find in my future for 2009. I do not hunt in the snow or the cold, though!

Chris

Two rings in the snowy yard and clad on top of that .

"Even a blind hog finds a nut, eventually."

Knowing you John, I suspect luck only had a part in it.

You do very well on those rings John.I'll never find as many as you do.
I saw your comment on snow. we don't get snow here (it does snow in a town 160kms from here) but we had a bit of a dust storm come through a few weeks back. we've had a few more since then, but the first one was a cracker. Even our cousin's in New Zeland wore some of it. I thought that I'd put up a couple of photo's of the aftermath of it. It hit in the middle of the night and the photos were taken about 9AM. 2 are looking both ways down our street with the other of the cars in the back yard.
