I received my Legend yesterday from Richard at Backwoods Detectors. Today (3/10/2022) I took it to a San Diego beach. This beach had been heavily detected over the past weekend. I hunted about 2 1/2 hours.
Wet sand - finds:
* Silver Ring - about 6 inches down in wet sand.
* Hot wheels car - about 4 inches down.
* Lead fishing sinker - tangled in wet seaweed
Dry Sand - finds:
* Oakley Sunglasses (like new). The Legend picked up on the small screws and small metal Oakley "O" on the sides.
* About $1.50+ in coins, mostly quarters.
* Lots of bottle caps, pull tabs, aluminum beer cans and aluminum foil. I didn't discriminate them out - I dug everything.
When detecting I did not change any settings from the original factory Beach mode. About 1/3 of my time however, was testing various settings. I did not go into the surf, just wet and dry sand. I used both Beach modes (Wet & Dry), but mainly Dry. I used the maximum Sensitivity most of the time (without any chatter). Overall, the detector and wireless headphones far exceeded my expectations. The build quality of everything is Outstanding!
