Ted, I would think once all NDAs are lifted Jeff M will do one. He has a good amount of time with the Manticore and being a tester then an end user his assessment IMO would be pretty accurate. And yes, they all do look alike. Are you considering one ?I have not seen either of these detectors in person. But pictures of the Legend II and the Manticore sure look alike! Did Nokta copy the Manticore? Can anyone do an honest comparison for us? Thanks and HH! Ted
All I can say right now is Legend 2 looks more like an Equinox 900 to me as far as the build, user interface layout and detection modes.
Personally, the 900 was not a good fit for the ground conditions and higher altitude EMI where I detect the most. Way to unstable in general here.
Legend 2 using the latest V1.02 public software, handles the ground conditions and EMI better than the 900 did here.
I can only talk about detectors with the same price or lower at this point. That rules out Deus 2 and Manticore until the NDA is lifted.
