I have been told by several reliable sources one a dealer all three very seasoned pro. On deus that large coil offers better ground coverage but very little depth improvement here in southeast u.s.a. $500 is a large risk for a disabled pwrson on fixed income. I hope it will give me what im looking for depth wise. I cant stress enough how much i love my deus! Just need to see 9/12" on bullets. Thanks guyes for all ur imput and God bless u all......jeremi
hello jmann
excuse me for being a bit upfront before. i wish you all my best for your future hunts
the first reports i read on the bigger coil not getting better depth was from people tryna get extra on small coins over here in europe and has had a ricochet affect ever since leading to people thinking they will not get extra depth on something that they are not sure could be there from the start,
it is realy hard to get better depth on small things with a bigger coil inless the ground is very clean thus why the smaller coils will sneek a bit more in polluted or normal areas but if in a clean pasture, forest etc the big coil realy does give you an extra inch or 2 on bits n bobs n alot more on bigger stuff, all depends if one can be bothered to dig the realy deep maybes, but the big coil still maintains a sensativity to cover ground and pull tiny things which not many machines can do with big coils, it realy is down to how you set the machine up and what your ground is saying n what you want to look for
many people are hoping for an 11" me to as with my previous xp machines i found it a good balance for covering ground getting in amongst average polluted areas and getting a tad more depth and can be used for more time with less fatigue
its all in the pipeline twas the same with there previous machines which took time but now have a full arsenal to use, almost like a learning curve
good luck with your digs jmann
peace
