Let's slide some hints to Minelab...What improvements or features would you like to see in an Explorer 4:clapping:

My vote is for a chest mounted version. Years ago, I noticed that you could purchase such a version thru Jimmy Sierra. I owned a White's Spectrum, not a lightweight, which one could mount on your belt with a conversion kit. So there you are swinging a coil only. What a blessed relief. Hours of virtually weightless detecting.

The electronics for both the Explorer and ET are archaic. Compare what that machine does to one of the newer cell phones. Doesn't even have to be an I-phone. Gps, camera, phone, text capability, and tons of apss and a expandable memory. Don't know what it would take to get an electronics engineer from one of the cell manufacturers, but a consultant on a new design of the internal electronics is sorely needed...by all the manufacuters, not just ML.
Immagine a camera, movie and still, located in the control box next to the shaft. Want to take a picture of your detecting to share? Push the button. jim
