my wife came with for a morning dig and really showed the boys up!no readable date yet,but what a beauty!
 
Thanks everyone!Has some weird reeding like marks as well.I dont have any other half cents to compare it with but seems unusual.

Areyou sure it’s not a Draped Bust Half Cent? If you look closely, the date could be 1800 with the 1 completely obscured!
I think what you are seeing is the 1/200 on the reverse of the coin, which = 1/2 cent. The obverse would have the date.
Nice find. I've never found any US coins that old in Texas.
