Life To The Full:smile:

John 10:10 records Jesus' famous statement that He has come to give us life "to the full" (NIV). Other Bible translations speak of "abundant life." Here is a partial list of important components of this "full" life. Try to add other components to that list and find scriptural support for these various aspects:

1. It is a life full of possibilities.

2. It is a life with a purpose.

3. It is a life of inner peace.

4. It is a life with a mission.

As we grow in our Christian life, we become more and more convinced that Christ does indeed offer us life "to the full." We often have, however, a hard time explain- ing this to those who have not committed themselves to Christ. For them the Christian life appears to be rather boring. They dislike the fact that it seems to bring all kinds of restrictions. But Christians have learned that not all experiences one might have do actually make our lives richer. Many things we might do carry a minus sign rather than a plus sign and contribute to an inner emptiness rather than a fullness of life. What are some kinds of experiences we're all better off without, and why?

"Life to the full" is not a combination of good health, good looks, satisfactory education, and a nice income. And although strong, loving relationships are certainly part of it, there is considerably more than these things. Life "to the full" is the kind of life that has meaning. It is a life that issues inner peace. Its happiness does not depend primarily on external, material circumstances. It is a life that is connected to the Source of Life and will, therefore, be eternal.

Why does all this talk of an "abundant life" sound pleasing? What about those who seem to have an "abundant life" but don't know Jesus and don't seem to have the slightest interest in knowing Him? How do we understand this phenomenon, especially when we all know Christians who are suffering terribly now? See 2 Cor. 4:18.

Good post, Senior Seeker! I have found that by having Jesus Christ as my own, personal Savior, I can have the peace that passes all understanding, to know that I am in the world but not of it, and; therefore, although I suffer the consequences of the sinfulness and diseases of the world, I can endure and overcome them all with Jesus' joyous strength and know that I shall live eternally and not be sentenced to the second death to dwell in the Lake of Fire being forever punished for not believing in Jesus, as God's only begotten Son born of a virgin, who lived, died and lived again for me and all sinners that we might believe and be saved from everlasting punishment!

We are not above the Master, our Savior, and He suffered more than any human-being on this earth has suffered! His being striped by taking all our sins upon Himself, was an awful whipping and then dying by suffocation on the cross while shedding His precious blood, was a most horrible way to die, but Praise God Jesus was raised up alive by His Holy Spirit and lives forever more!

How do I know that this is true, the Old and New Testaments tell me so, and I have the baptism of the Holy Ghost, Who leads me into the absolute truth of God's Holy written Word, The Bible! Only by God's Spirit dwelling within us as new creatures in Christ do we know by understanding the scriptures and come to knowledge of Jesus, Who is the Living Word made flesh and lived on earth as Mary and Joseph's son, but is also God's beloved Son, for only He was pure and holy to take away our sins! The Holy Lamb of God sacrifed for everyone born on earth! For we are all born sinners by Adam's and Eve's fall when they disobeyed God's warning and ate of the tree of good and evil, which gave them knowledge that they were naked and so they wouldn't live forever in an undying state, they were cast out of the Garden of Eden, which was Paradise! Now, by God's saving grace we shall be back in Paradise when we dwell with Jesus in new Jerusalem City forever and ever!

Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for all that You have done for Your human creations formed in the womb in Your likeness! Amen! God Bless! Betty
