Lighters...and more lighters!

It has been a week for finding lighters. 3 in the last 2 hunts and 4 for the week. Chris and I hit the woods this morning and Chris hit a 1935 Merc. pretty quickly. The best thing I got my F75 LTD's coil over was a neat 1934 Chicago World Exposition Match King Lighter/Match. The front has 1934 A Century Of Progress. On the back is a relief design of the Travel and Transport building. The center pin comes out and has lighter fluid soaked cotton and steel pin on the end. You strike it against the side that holds a flint. Instant flame. All my coins this morning were cents a 3 clads. Did get a couple more pieces of lead. Hope everyone had a great weekend. HH jim tn

Nice finds jim, cool lighters....hh rick in mi.

El, thanks for the pic's. The top one is like the one I found. Finding stuff like that is what makes this hobby so interesting and enjoyable. Now, if I just could have been ahead of Chris and put my coil over that 35 Merc....naw, I am glad he found it. He digs more targets and hauls off more trash then any detectorist I know. HH jim tn

Jim, I actually like that lighter you found more so then the 1935 merc that I found. That lighter cleaned-up better then I thought it would. Also, that 1900 IH you found the day before is quite impressive.
