This one article talks about railroads, logging, the gold in California, the American Red Cross, a devastating fire in Huron County Michigan and ....
I have other articles that are a part of that history. First will be the fire.
Then a link to something that seems so 'out of this world' that may have really been the cause of the fires - yes - there were more than one fire in the same year and same day across the mid states of America.
