General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

So I list my TDI no one ever responds so I pull it and sell on the Bay and I can't list a different machine in its place? Really?
I guess I won't be here anymore if that is how petty this place is going to be.
I Bought a TDI Pro From Richard just this week, an IDX from Mr Bill and an Eliminator coil about 3 months ago.
But I think I am done..
No offense to Rich and Mr Bill they are great but because the TDI was a dead horse here and must pay the BAY greed I am also penalized here. That is despicable!

Answer to your first sentence is---NO.------Reason being--because it would be a different detector (in a 3 month period).-------Forum rules at the top of the classifeds clearly states----(1) detector sale allowed in any (3) month period.------If we were all listing a different detector in the place of one we had already listed earlier (in that three month window)---we could ALL run (post) any number of detectors for sale.----See how that works?-----The administrators are just trying to be fair to everyone.---------Same goes for six m.d.ing items FS in any (3) month period.------Say I list 6 items and nobody wants my GREAT deal on one of the 6---so I "pull" it-------that don't mean I can list another item (or items) in that 3 mo. window to make up to the total of 6 items.--------I'm not saying I made the rules (because I didn't)---not even saying I like (all) the rules-----but I AM saying we ALL gotta ABIDE by the rules in place.
 
Whatever. Like I say I will not be posting or buying anything here anymore. That rule is not about the regular people it is to protect the DEALERS that are paying for banner ads. Way back when they started this rule I and many others suggested a Pay Per Sale system to pay for the site , Guvner and collegues shot it down.
So I will exercise my perogitive and not do business here anymore.

Sorry that you didn't read & apply the statement at the top of the classified page. You should have read it before you made you first listing. I guess you felt it didn't apply to you.

Had you asked first instead of thumbing your nose up at us, perhaps things may have been different. Again, you didn't feel that was necessary for you to do it.

It's not so to protect the sponsors, (well it's part of it), as much as it is, if you want to play like the big boys, you need to pay like the big boys.

Aw, don't be so touchy--nobody is "yelling" at you!----I was just EMPATHIZING a WORD here and there--nothing more.-------BTW, I do feel life (in general) is fair, good AND BLESSED by The Lord!-------Have a good day.

You know I have been posting here on and off for quite a number of years, Bought a dozen or so detectors sold 3 or 4 . That rule , as it was explained when it was institutesd , was because of the sponsers complaining about people trying to slip in and be "Blackmarket " dealers that were not paying their fair share to support the forum. I will not repeat what I posted above that many of us responded with . Suffice to say, as in my immediate case , many were just selling 2 or 3 machines to upgrade to a much more expensive machine that we were buying from a sponsor. To clarify MY situation Whites having blown the 1st TDI in some aspects it did as they have done in the past and Minelab does on a regular basis and made a penny packet improvement . The value of the TDI immediately took a hit when the Pro came out and the main compliant I had with the TDI was fixed Whites would NOT address the flaw in the original or offer a fix.
So you all can bag on me, criticize and scold, but when the current policy was instituted I left for quite some time. Unfortunately I will nol longer be able to support the dealers here and will go elsewhere (Local dealers which I was for 7 years ) And that means I won't be buying any of YOUR used machines either.
This is NOT personal and I harbor no ill will towards any 1 person at all. Indeed there are many here I really like and will probably do business with Rich again sometime, but not thru this Forum. It is boycott of a Policy I have always opposed.
