Little Leelan is suffering terribly...

Pete in MI

New member
took him to 2 docs in 2 days and both said there was no problem......GRRR....I used my cellphone to video tape him when he was in so much pain it broke his Mom's and my heart to see him hurting. And even though I told the doc today and a nurse as well I had taped his pain neither was interested in seeing it. By the time we got into a waiting room and the doc showed up Leelan was not in the pain he had been in before. She said to use some Gas-X on him....we told her his voice is not the same when he coughs, he sneezes and his nose is producing a lot of stuff which I think was draining down his throat and caused the pain....but hey who am I right what do I know I don't have a piece of paper saying I escaped from a college and am qualified to be someone else's thorn in their side.

Casey's manager wants to fire Casey for 'contriving this setup' so she could leave work. The baby sitters called and said he had to be picked up as he was screaming almost every since he got there and wouldn't eat anything. I happened to stop in to get something to eat (a God thing the way I see it) and Casey borrowed the van to get her son while I ate my food. So guess the manager thought it more than a coincidence I showed up when I did and Casey left to 'supposedly' get her sick son. And of course that would have meant we were able to get the timing down and convince the bablysitter to call just after I placed my order. GRRRR....that's another reason I video taped Casey and Leelan in the emergency walk-in clinic with him in horrible pain for such a little guy who can't even talk. He's a little over 2 and a half months old now).

Leelan will see his baby doctor tomorrow morning. I have been able to get him some formula and he is resting comfortably in his swing. I did all I could when he was in pain....I prayed and then video taped it.

How about some prayers for him. He hadn't eaten in over 7 hours and cried all last night according to Casey ...they were at Leelan's other grandpa's place over night.

Thanks everyone.

So sorry, Pete, to hear about Leelan's sickness and pain! Baby's do run high fever, act and look like they are going to pass away any time and then they come right out of it and live most of the time! Tami was allergic to milk and I had to give her Prosobee, a soybean based milk, which when spilled on anything leaves big yellow stains that won't come out when washed! She used to cry all the time and throw up and had awful gas pains! Now, he may have gas and then again he might have a summer cold which could turn into pnuemonia, sooo keep watch on him and Casey may need to change his formula! Also, some babies cut teeth early and 3 months is unusual but there have been some early teethings! Just a word from an experienced older mother, grandmother and great-grandmother! Well, I'm not a great-great grandmother yet, so not as old as I could be by now!

Prayers for Jesus to touch and make him better and well, soon, and for peace and comfort for you all! Babies can sure make a person hectic, nervous and upset when they are crying and sick! Most Drs and nurses aren't as sympathetic as the old country drs, for they have way too many patients now and have no PATIENCE! God Bless! Betty

one of the women Casey works with...well, that was her uncle and she lived with him...she got sick and wound up in the hospital and was unable to attend her uncle's funeral. Casey has had flu symptoms...Sherry then got sick too and then little Leelan. Being in a direct line of contact with the Swine Flu was not reassuring. We took him to see a doctor day before yesterday who said he was getting over a cold but Casey was put on antibiotics for what she had. Leelan got worse so he went to another doctor yesterday saying he seems to be ok. Lungs clear, no high temp...probably :indigestion; give him some Gas-X. Even though I took a video with my cell phone of him coughing and trying to breath with a stuffed up runny nose and crying in so much pain the doc refused to even listen to the video to listen for any other symptoms

Leelan was getting no better and eating nothing for over 8 hours. I was able to feed him a small 4 oz of formula and get him to sleep for about 20 minutes. We all agreed he should be taken to the ER. Casey went there last night with Leelan. I have no idea how it all turned out but I see the van is back in the yard so I know they got back here.

I have heard no crying this morning from their room so maybe they got some kind of relief for him at the ER.

How wonderful the medical profession is when they have their minds made up before walking into a waiting room. No need to hear about problems or symptoms just pass out the Gas-X. And to think we ain't got to the 'socialized' medicine yet....bet that will be something to look forward to....NOT. Grrrrr.

Glad we have a Great Physician who created the human body and knows it better than these....not to insult the ducks....quacks. God have mercy on their souls.
