Little tesoro fun today

Had an hour to hunt so I set the disc at nickel and plowed through a trashy area where a church once stood..lots of pulltabs,must be 50 there..wheat penny,few zincs, lots of iron I pulled out of the holes with the pulltabs.. Got a old broken skeleton key,wish it was complete.. Tesoros are fun but man I'll feel that one tommorow.

That Eldorado is a baby doll... The key Is still a great find... It might have been in a desk drawer when the church was demolished.... Just Curiosity... What kinda church was it??? Methodist, Catholic, Baptist...

It was actually a girls rectory , catholic and was built in the late 1790s and burned in 1860s..never rebuilt on that area

Neat finds… that Eldorado is a great little detector… I used to have one, but also had a Vaquero which is similar, so I sold the Eldorado.
I do prefer the all metal toggle instead of the push button on the Vaquero.

Nope,haven't went back yet. I sold that Eldorado, it was the one I mentioned in another post that seemed to like big iron .wish I had it, it was really nice. I'm actually on the hunt for a Tesoro or two, I use a Equinox and explorer now,but I need to gather up a few good Tesoros

Hi @woodbutcher . Yes, the Eldo likes iron. Using a ED-180 circuit makes you useing some disc to get rid of it.
It is not pre-adjusted to reject small iron like the ED-120 detectors. Monte mentioned you have to adjust the Eldo's disc in very small steps to achieve good iron rejection but be able to accept small jewelry.

Wondering if I could go into the Bandido 2 and adjust the disc pot to go below ED 120 just a little into the iron.
Never had a 120 disc before.
I wanna hear a little iron.
In hopes of Not missing micro jewelry.

Don't do it!!! Too many people atempt this feat and just screw up their
Detectors. You need equipment to do this correctly. Tesoro as you know isn't around
and if you mess with the guts in machine and Screw it up you might as well THROW IT AWAY!!! Just my thoughts on this subject...

Yes I do understand that.
Thank You for the warning.

Though I do have a lot of electronics equipment.
Been tuning and working on ham radios for many years.

I do wish I had all the specs for tuning Tesoro detector's.
I would have to take a slew of scope and other measurements before I even started.
And without specs I still would have a difficult time getting it perfect.

As I said I'm thinking out loud.

Actually hoping someone had done this correctly.

Like the gentleman called Vito.

Who apparently has done a bit of work on these machines and would speak up with a solution.

If I had two Bandidos in excellent working order.
I could keep one as a standard for comparison.
While attempting my mission safely.

Until then I will not even attempt it.

I have a number of other machines that can do what I need.
