As you all know on 17th Mai was the 3rd Annual Go Minelabbing International Metal Detecting Day. This year that day coincided with the 6th National Metal Detecting Fair organized from Bulgarian National Federation of Metal Detecting.

One of the eighteen locations in the world where Minelab and various metal detector community groups sponsored these events is one little village in Bulgaria - Slivek.

Already is a tradition many producers and many of their dealers from all over the world to visit the Natioanal Metal Detecting Fairs in Bulgaria in Slivek. Some of them are already members of Bulgarian National Federation of Metal Detecting.

Hope for all you will be intersting to see who are we and to see other photos from this meeting:)

The photos are too many, so this will be a little long post:)

First - about these great locations in Bulgaria:)

Slivek is near Lovech town, in north-central Bulgaria. One of the oldest and most interesting Bulgarian towns with many interesting sights to be visited.

The streets in Lovech are narrow and covered in cobblestone. The old buildings are a superb sample of the National Revival architecture from the beginning of the 19th c.:

The Lovech Fortress lies on the two terraces of the beautiful and picturesque Hisarya Hill in the old part of Lovech. The fortress was built in Roman times, but it is best known as the place where the Lovech Peace Treaty with the Byzantine Empire was signed in 1187. It marked the birth of the Second Bulgarian Empire:

Near Lovech are beatiful waterfalls:

Near the town can be visited some of the interesting caves in Bulgaria:

As I said, is a tradition already many producers and many of their dealers from all over the world to visit the Natioanal Metal Detecting Fairs in Bulgaria in Slivek.

So, I learned five years in german high school and think that my German is more better than my English. That's why for me was surprise and little strange that the representative of this german company don't speak German:)
But...the world is so mixed, anything is possible. Maybe was one from their foreign dealers, sorry - forgot to ask:) :

Maybe because of the very strong laws about metal detecting in Bulgaria, the fairs here are organized little different from what we see in some videos for USA and UK fairs for example.
Previously prepared area for depth test was the mostly used place for presentation of new or little known in our country units:

In the meantime our unit Ground Pioneer 4500 was equipped and tested with software and new special designed for him data logger to become complete visualizer system.
More about this soon, now - the video only.

DeepTech's Ground Pioneer Visualizer System:

Step

Yes, one step further for the Ground Pioneer :)

And yes, is more than clear that such devices have nothing to do with Vistas for example, but when it comes to metaldetecting, everyone has their own preferences.

Step? Yes. In order to perform data logging with a metal detector you need to scan on a given grid. Nothing different if somebody use another PI with data logger.
Otherwise if you scan carelessness you will have erratic results: either miss targets ( leave empty space ), or double scan the same piece of ground.
There is not an alternative but scanning on a Grid.
Now instead of having a beeping sound to prompt for the user steps, we have selected voice commands which are user friendly.
If voice is not what you like, you can easily swap the "step.wav" sound file with another .wav sound that you like, within the folder of the Icon Data software.
