Live AMMO

I've found several live rounds lately from the 40's and 50's including a couple of 50 cal rounds. Is ammo this old safe to handle and dispose of?

Yes the ammo is safe, Why dispose of it esp 50 cal's? GREAT conversation pieces. The ONLY very hazardus ammo is the pre 1920 black powder ammo which I have found a fair bit. Its still safe if handled correctly.

But back to your question, anything from the the era your talking is smokless powder and not too dangerous. DO NOT toss in a fire. I am sure a local gun shop would love the 50 cal rounds. They sell on fee bay for around 13.00 each AFTER the power is removed.
