Got a question. If someone ones a load claim ( one that is not in the creek? or what is it) can one placer mine on it? And same as if one owes a placer is it ok to placer mine it? What is the diffrence is what i am asking. Also how do you know if you are on a claim or not. I just want to be sure im working an area that is free to the public, and not crossing someones claim with out permission. I was just wanting some info on it. Thanks any insight would be greatfull. Thanks Jon thats what im affraid of. My buddy has a placer claim and don't know if its load claimed or not so was just wondering if i find a rock with gold in it can i take it, or not. But think im heading out anyway to his claim. Im not going to be hunting in caves or old mines, just on bed rock ect.
