Lobo Supertraq

dld

New member
I just got this a few days ago and got it for a good price,
in my testing at the beach, so far it does nothing the ace 250 don't.

Now I live in NE Fla and know there is no gold around except for jewerly but thought
that it might find gold jewerly better than the ace.

I talked to a Tech at Tesoro and he said it was made for pure gold and the standard
coil isn't good for coins and jewerly. I need to get a 9x8 concentric for that.

Would I be better off buying the new coil or getting rid of the Lobo and getting a different
Tesoro for dry sand beach hunting

I am getting 7 inches with the ace on most things.

Any idea's?

The Lobo is a outstanding detector and can be used in many places just by switching out the coil. The 9x8 is a good all around coil for coin and jewelry. For beach hunting I would want the 10" DD or the 8.5 DD coil. Widescan coils are less affected by mineralization which is what you will have at the beach than the concentric is. Again the Lobo a great detector and it takes time to learn it. I would keep it and try the 10x8 or one of the other coils and if your still not happy you can just sell it as a combo package.
