Lonely, spooky............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
Old family cemetery down a dirt road, in the middle of a field of Texas wildflowers with a thunderstorm fast approaching. Isolated, with an atmosphere of loneliness, and the fast approaching storm, I sensed that there was something spooky about this old cemetery. I quickly took the picture, and left the area.

The picture was taken with a Sony NEX-6 camera using a old, vintage Minolta MD 50mm F1.4 lens, with following settings: F8, 1/125, ISO 200, manual focus, Manual Mode. I softened the picture just a tab for effects. Kelley (Texas) :)

I've seen a lot of family plots around New England too.....more personalized than the regular giant cemeteries I think.

love the prospective.. the color in the front and the darker area in back. looks like darkness over the headstones are around the clock

That's an oldie. Is it maintained? Very unique picture!

One thing for sure, if I was maintaining it, it would have to be done in the middle of the day, a bright sunny day. I would have the windows of the pickup rolled down and my radio playing Christian music for all to hear. I would not go near this old cemetery at night. Kelley (Texas) :)
