Long probe for Explorer II

Last week I was talking with a guy that was interested in a long probe like the gold spear. I got to thinking why couldn't a long probe be made to fit the Exp. I broached the subject with SunRay but they didn't seem interested maybe they thought I was thinking of a one off. What I was thinking of was a probe about four feet long that could be installed where the present probe is on the switch. That way if a person was searching for meteorites or looking under rocks you could sling your Exp on your back and just use the long probe to test likely rocks or around obstacles. the detector weight is on your back not your arm. Your arm would be holding about 4 feet of one inch plastic pipe with wire attached to the switch box. You could easily hold that all day. For normal detecting the long probe would unscrew like any other coil and standard probe reinstalled. Mybe I am crazy but I can see a use for it. Any thoughts?
