Long water hunt nets a few keepers!.........

Drove in the rain to the lake, then the rain stopped! Then when we started hunting we got sprinkled on, and poured on at different times! Oh well, we were already wet! The keepers included two silver rings, a bracelet, a pendant, and a key. I also got 34 clad coins.

Both rings are 925 silver and the one with the vine design is pretty big! The other one is kinda plain but I'll take it! :)

Here is the bracelet and a Christian pendant.

The back of the pendant. Joshua 1:9b A good verse! :)

When water diggin you have to dig a lot of trash to get the treasure! :)

Joshua 1:9 "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."

It fits my story above. How 'coincidental' (hahaha) is that.

Glad you got out again Mike. We haven't gotten any rain at Houghton Lake. I was at the church in Harrison and it started to spit on the windshield and that was all we got.

I heard there was a forest fire going on up here somewhere. Think it was out towards Cadillac. Our Pastor mentioned that we are due for another huge forest fire...and without the rain...and people carelessly tossing cigarettes out the car windows or people burning trash on a windy day - haven't had any of them lately either - that likelihood of that happening is pretty good.

COngrats on the finds Mike...now send us some of that rain - Please.

Monday I went out. Got 20 tabs, 20 caps, various parts of beer cans pieces of other metals. one set of keys, one Pennie one quarter, one lead weight and a very small anchor. I stopped digging the caps and tabs after a couple of hours. It is so frustrating. You must be a fast digger.

Heading up north to Traverse city and then to east Jordan tomorrow with family. Hope to get into the water. Hope to get my son in law to go with me at least once so I can use my Hookah.

Later, Jamie

send rain if I could. We will be needing some more soon as well. My prayers are on the way!

You dig your share of trash and find the treasure doing it! :)

Nope! In this case I went where there is a lot of boating and swimming activity, I was in the water about 8 hours, I am usually able to get my target in one scoop, and practice, practice. practice!!! :)

I did some digging on Wednesday morning with the CZ in the surf (right after the waves break) Sometimes I could dig a target in one shot when it was somewhat shallow but the deeper stuff takes more. You kinda have to know how many scoops the target is down based on the sound. Then you dig 2 or 3 quick scoops, checking the hole real quick in between just in case (and timing your digging against the waves). If you don't get to it fast enough it either sinks to Davey Jones' locker or get sucked out to sea. All the while you're gettin' beat by the waves. Man that's work! :) But is sure is fun! Nice digs Mike!
