SNOW.

They say we can get up up 2" to 4" today and it's May the 2nd :angry :

Here are some of my better finds from from my past few hunts.

Sunday I got permission to hunt a field that once had a farm house. While talking to the farmer he told me that he had another chunk of ground that use to have 2 old farms on them and I could hunt them too.

I went to the first place and the old house was about a third of a mile back out in to the field and so I had a hard time locating right where the house use to be, but I found it. After all that work finding right where the house was I only found a Merc and 2 wheat, but I am going to go back out there again. That place showed up on the 1875 plate map and their has to be so older coins there, I hope. Then I went to his other field that had the 2 farms on it and didn't find anything good at the first place so I went a 1/4 mile down the road to the other place and hit that for a lil over a hour before it got dark and found a rosie, 2 wheat's and marble. I need to go back to that place.

Monday I was doing a lil research and found a Ball field that showed up in the 30's aerial photo but not in the 50's photo and I knew who owned the land. I got permission and I went to check it out Monday afternoon. This place was been hit hard in the past or the ball field was not used too much. I only found a 1901 V Nickel and 3 wheat's.

Tue I went back to that field to check it out one more time and it was a waste of my time, I didn't find anything, lol. so I went to a 1RSH that I hit 1 1/2 years ago and did pretty good the last time I was there and this time I did pretty good too. I found a Merc, 2 V's a 1907 & 1911, a no date buff, 2 wheat's and some junk jewelry.

Wed it was too cold and windy to go out and today I'm getting SNOW. lol

Good finds! I'm still waiting for my first V. Congrats!!

Great digs as usual Mark!

We're fortunate enough to be staying on the warm side of that front, so while you're getting snow it's sunny and 78

This freak snow storm is getting worse. They say the last time we had a snow like this in May was back in 1941. you can not believe how hard it's coming down now.
