i took the aces to a spot i"v been researching for years & finally tracked down.
i was allotted 1.5 hours to hunt by the boss the area was quite busy in the 40s & 50s so i was hoping for some old silver but none showed up today but the area has promise with lots of old copper nails coming to light & quite a few bullets popped out to but the coins where few & far between.
i will have to go back & give it a full days work to see what comes outta the wood work.
on the way home my lovely wife stopped at two tot lots so the kids & dad could play the first i got $3 something & a live 22 round at the second i found $2 something & the little gold lock off a bracelet.
i suppose i"ll just have to take the gold & hope for silver next time :heh:.
the cash total today was $8 on the dot in 18 coins with a couple of 1c-2c coppers for the scrap bucket so all up i had a great day out with the family & added a little loot to my pile .

Nice job on the gold. I would surely go back to the promising spot for at least one more go around.

yeah i"ll head back & hit the area hard for a day real soon :detecting:
i didnt find the rest of it so probebly not but ya never know some lucky person may find the rest some day.

When I finally break my gold drought I'll forget all about silver coins. Too bad one of those rusty old nail signals wasn't a nice silver shilling or florin.

That is a cool ashtray too.

And, hey - what gives with that, anyway? I thought guns were outlawed in Oz?
