Looking for Opinions.....Am I in the right place? LOL!

Ok, here is my dilemma. I am on the verge of insanity  researching this and need your input. I am thinking after the first of the year getting either a White's Spectra 3Vi or :starwars: the Minelab E-Trac. I know I might regret asking this question to Minelab owners but I need some honest no BS feedback regarding the two machines. You know "Pros & Cons and bang for your buck type info. Any input, advice or opinions will be much appreciated.
Thanks, Jasin

My Etrac rocks ....the only thing I dont like is the screen is hard to read ...I dont think its visuals are bright and clear enough.but it runs like a champion.
I was put off the V3 by the amount of people having troubles with em and the amount of almost new ones being traded in .
They both do similar things though and give the user lots of options and settings.
Good Luck - its always a hard choice to decide on "which one" to get

Thanks for ur input Terra. I see the price for the E-Trac is about $1500 bar finding one used or one on sale. Does anyone know the kellyco price on the Spectra V3I?

If you ask in the Whites forum you will get a different answer. I run Xterra 705 and an Explorer SE. I like them. I think a guy might look around and see who is finding the best stuff in conditions most like yours. For deep coins you will have a hard time besting the Minelabs. The Etrak and the Explorer are 2 of the best coin shooters in the world, hands down. Nothing against the Whites, Garrett or Tesoro products, Each mfg. makes good machines and all have real standouts for given purposes. Tesoro is supose to have one of the best relic machines on the market, and a couple of outstanding park machines. Really a lot of it will come down to whose product you like to run and how it runs in your condtions. I really like the information that you get with the ML machines based on the tone if the hit combined with the ID. Single tone machines I struggle with, but I do own one, it is a Troy X5. I do have plans to see if I can exploit its strengths this spring. then I will decide if I will keep it. I want a Garrett AT Pro and will trade one of my machines next year to get one.

Well Good Luck
Jeff

If your swing speed is on the fast side I would go with the V3. The Etrac has a shorter learning curve. Both are nice machines but the Xterra 70 is much lighter and for me, funner to use. Fatigue and enjoyment factors should be considered when buying any detector.

Hi,

Xterra 705 & Etrac are both great detectors. Plan on having one of each if you can afford it. I'm going to add an Etrac to my arsenal this weekend.

I have been saving madly after I bought the 705.

Maybe one day I will be able to afford a 4500 or 5000 to complete my collection and try some serious gold hunting :)

Cheers,

Danno

Seems like Minelab:minelab: is gonna win again.
Thanks for the input. This picture pretty much solidified my decision.
Thanks again all,
