Looking to upgrade

PAtom

New member
Just started detecting last year and am looking to upgrade to a good midpriced detector. Right now I have a Garrett gtax550 and am looking to sell it and get something in the $500-$650 range. What do you guys think would be the best one? I mostly hunt old homesites and old schools. Right now i'm kind of leaning towards an Xterra 50. Any suggestions would be helpful.

find a used explorer es, thats in your price catagory,I have one but not sure I want to sell it. If your going to detect get the best saves alot of walking.Or better yet get a soverign simple and goes deeper than the exterra.

You may also look at the XL PRO or the M6.
I have the XL PRO and the M6 is on the way.
To me this is a very good set for silver to gold.

there all good, but if your looking at minelab thought more about it go for the soverign, whites dfx, different price range though, soverign yeah thats an all around DEEP!!!!detector and easy to use and upgrades available.thats just my opinion I live in VA. SO THE MINELABS ARE GREAT RELIC MACHINES BUT YOU MAY WANT A MACHINE FOR SOMETHING ELSE.DANG CAPS LOCKED SORRY.:minelab:
