Grass still a little high but hunt able

Where is this?

I have always wondered about hunting in plowed fields but I have never tried. How do you decide where to hunt? Is just random fields or do you do research to see if there was some sort of town or prior activity in the fields? I have access to plowed fields but I have never tried.

Virginia is loaded with history. Find a colonial site, ask permission, offer to split your finds and hope they say yes. I was heavy into research when we used to go out and find civil war camps back in the day. Not so much anymore.
