Hello all, I post in this forum my one find from my last short hunt before winter switched cold on. its look like some sort military tag?US tag?on tag letters---II Kl.Wewn.US---- found in place where all things till 1940 and all from city toilet fertilazer :| .What is this any idea? Thanks Stasys from Lithuania

Looks like a manufactures tag. The Wewn may be the Company name. Not necessarily military. I know around 1890 the U.S. required companies shipping stuff in had to use the countries name. Im sure other countries required the same.

This is an interesting item. I'm not sure what it is but if it didn't have the US part on it, I would say it was German since Kl. is an abbreviation for Klasse (class). The type of lettering on it and the material (aluminum?) make me think it is right around WWII era. I'm not sure what the small holes are from, possibly to attach this tag to something? Hopefully you will find out more information Stasys. Good luck and happy hunting.

thanks friends ,its made from aluminium, and its looks like its only one part, holes was made later with nail help- possibly to clean fish

I think Wewn was a company that had something to do with radios.... shortwave i think. Id say those holes were where it was attached... notice the way its bent. Looks like it was pryed off a crate maybe.
