Looky Looky.....The AT MAX Has A Volume Control! :clapping:

Yep..seems the headphone icon and intensity meter would indicate that ..Does it work well????

Good deal! This is exactly what I was looking for. Good job Garrett and thank you for adding

I hope your right, but that's not how I see it. --- I see it as an indication that the unit is paired to the wireless headphones. ---- Hope I'm wrong. ----

Above the sensitivity adjustment on the keypad in orange it has "VOL ADJUST".....my question is not general volume adjustment that can easily be adjusted as most earphones have a vol adjustment...i want iron audio volume adjust.

That pic doesn't match up with the Kellyco pic. What gives ? Where this one says vol adjust the Kellyco pic says frequency adjust.

The pic Kellyco is showing is probably from a proto-type. The ones being released will have the volume control.

Mr. Edmonton, do you know if the volume of the iron audio on the At Max is independently adjustable or is it preset at the factory?

Well for the most part you would be correct. However, if using the Garrett underwater headphones, there is no volume control and it is EXTREMELY loud on the AT Pro. It was so loud I resorted to using ear plugs when water hunting. The volume control on the Max will be welcomed for that.

That is the single best improvement I've heard! We'll see if it's deeper and of course that would be awesome as well. Another win in the works..

Thank god! The only way to use the AT-Gold is with volume adjustable head phones. Without them everybody for a mile around can hear you. I recently got the AT-Gold for it's waterproof capabilities. I hunted my yard to get a feel for it and I am impressed so far.... simple, straight forward machine. I was shocked, though, at how loud it is and really can't believe that Garrett didn't put something as basic as volume control on the AT machines. As far as I'm concerned it can't be used without phones. Too bad they forgot that feature on an otherwise capable machine. We will see what the future brings with this new addition to the herd.
