right before the holidays too, my plant laid off almost the entire 2nd shift. :thumbdown:

I can feel this holiday won't be too great for my family, please pray for us

thanks obama!!!! My company president was worried obama would get elected and said if he got in things would only get worse for us, I think he just waited until after the election and finally made his decision. We knew it was coming, we have been slow for some time now, and I think with obama getting elected that was the last straw, there is no hope now at all for the auto industry, this country is crumbling before our eyes, and nothing we can do to slow it down. Really scary to think how bad the next 4 years are gonna be like..........

thank you all, have applied for unemployment online, that is a first time for me, I could not hardly sleep last night. Just got this real sick feeling in my gut. I have always had a job since I was 15 years old, always had money to cover the bills. I feel helpless now. Never knew it would feel this way
 
That is tough - especially this time of year.
I've been through it, though - and you can trust God to take care of you. Keep communicating with Him with all you concerns & cares - because HE CARES for you.
In 2 years of unemployment after 911 (my husband is a computer geek, and the whole industry shut down for a while after 911 - Anyways, God always arranged adequate if not extravagent provision - we always had food on the table, money for the mortgage, and gifts for the kids. I later found out that my oldest daughter never realized how broke we were. And when the time was right, his dream job came along, too. You can Trust Him -
