This has the best pinpoint of anything I've used so far. I've been able to tell when a coin is tilted and which way its tilted by the pinpoint audio. One thing that does make a difference is that its calibrated for coin size targets, so smaller targets will appear deeper than they are and larger targets visaversa.
If you detune the depth reading will be off. I often use the depth reading to help pinpoint, looking for the shallowest reading to tell me when I am closed to being centered, then pull the trigger again to detune to a very small spot, sometimes detuning more than once. I'm not too concerned with the depth reading as I can tell by how long the detection field is as to approximately how deep the target is.
A coin on edge can put your pinpoint off sometimes. Sometimes the on edge coins will pinpoint right on, and other times I'll find then off to the side. Has to do with which way I sweep over them.
As I have previously mentioned, for shallow targets, I do the DD wiggle or the DD stab to pinpoint those items.
Well, looker here. I managed to write a bit after all
