Man!!!!! I'm away from the forum for a few days and you guys have gone into overtime with the posting!!! Mighty chatty the past few days!!! Imagine how overwhelmed I felt when I saw that I am 462 posts behind!!! :surrender: No way I can respond to each topic but I will be going through and scanning them in hopes of not missing anything important.

I have been up to my eyeballs in dealing with about 101 different issues; the most serious being that my daddy now has congestive heart failure on top of his mini strokes and early Alzheimers. It's been a crazy few days. I've missed you all - very much! And have continued to pray even though I've been away from the forum.

Hi Lisa and I see you are a night owl also! :) Sorry to hear about your dad and his and your trials of sickness! My prayers are stll with you concerning your work place and a new job! Just hang in there and I certainly will pray for your dad and comfort and peace for you and family! Trials come but sooner or later they do end and Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for that....except satan tries other ways to bring new ones into our lives, but with the grace of our Savior we are able to endure and overcome them all! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Hi Lisa - good to see ya again. Besides this forum there are a bunch of others that are grouped into one site. So when it says hundreds of posts behind it refers to all the forums grouped together, not just this one :) Steve in so az

Praying for your daddy! How is the knee?

It's doing pretty good. I will see the surgeon again for his final word on the 15th. Even though it is still a little sore and swells, I think it has done a fine job of healing on its own. I'm hoping he will tell me it's gonna be OK without surgery. If not, then I'll tell him to get it done and over with, ASAP! I'm back to walking a few miles almost every day, with an occasional short and easy hike. The heat here makes me NOT want to get out there at all but I can't just stay inside with the air conditioner all the time... well, actually, I COULD!!! It would be real EASY to do!!! Ha! Thanks for asking! I appreciate it!

Thanks, Ma! My parents and aunt have sure gone down hill fast. It's heart breaking to watch the people who raised you, and the ones you love so very much, just turn into children who have to be 'tended to', advised, and helped with things they have always done for themselves. They aren't invalids by any means! But they are so needy and becoming so dependent. I thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful family and I am grateful to them for all they have ever done for me! It can get a bit tiresome and even frustrating at times but I will gladly do anything I can to help take care of them. It would be much easier if my sister lived here, close to all of us, instead of in South Carolina. Tim is dealing with so much with his daddy too.

Yes, please continue to pray about the job situation too.

Thanks,
Lisa

You are welcome and I know that the ones needing to be helped often feel helpless and aren't happy to give up their freedom either! To have loved ones to take care of or who will take care of us when we are in need is a true blessing from God, for so many do not have that love and appreciation for their children, parents or others!

Tami works with the public, when she is cleaning the Lobby of Victorian Inn and she says too many people are sooooo rude and she hates them, I said to her, Please, Tami, don't hate them just love them in the Lord, as she has really grown in Christ, and say you don't like their ways and pray for them! She is being used for Jesus now and is praying and counseling some of the clients who're staying there! One couple are up from the South to be with their daughter, who has passed away, and Tami kept talking to them and trying to encourage and comfort them, but she is so tender-hearted she cries and makes it hard on her...takes meds for Depression and Fibromyalgia!

Now, the boss over her took her ( she says drug her) to another in need, a lady in her 30;s with brain tumor, to talk to and pray for! She said, Mom, why am I doing this when I am probably going to cry! I said, Tami, you are growing in God's Word and serving Him now in the capacity He is calling you to do! Since she has to be very nice and kind to them who are staying there, she says they need to pay me more for all this! I said, God works in mysterious ways and you will receive your reward and monies if needed when you are unable to work...which is really difficult for her to do now....and others to encourage and help you. Who knows but God if someone may leave her some money when they pass on because of her prayers and loving kindnesses! She even gave a sympathy card and some flowers to the ones who lost their daughter! One thing for sure God will take care of His own! Amen! God Bless! Betty
