A couple of pics of a 1840's era house that sits south of my home town. It and the big chunk of land it sits on are state owned community college property and last housed a daycare until a part of the foundation began to crumble and collapse. Thankfully, local preservationists have saved the home. The foundation has been restored, it has a new cedar shingle roof, and the interior is being restored. I love the original wavy glass widow panes...it's amazing that they have survived. Because it is public owned land, I have hunted the site several times. It obviously has been searched before..all that i have recovered besides trash are a buffalo nickel and a 1800s era large caliber bullet.
I can't find the pics of the interior or i would post those too. I'll soon make another trip to see how the restoration is going and take some pics.
