Lucky 17

Last weekend I hit a soccer field on a tip from a local detectorist. He and his brothers had hit this field hard over the years and had gotten a lot of nice finds...but evidently an Explorer had never been there. I hunted the field 3 times, about 4 hours each hunt. In addition to the 17 silvers pictured, I also got 5 Indians. The worn silver disc is actually a Seated quarter. That was on my "want" list...now if I can just get the coil over a silver 3 cent piece.

I have found two over my detecting career and nearly died each time....HH

thats the way i felt finding 2 confederate buckles ,and when know ones around to here you yell. great feeling i guess thats what keeps us swinging

Is that a raised vertical line running from the neck down to the edge of the coin on the 1918 Merc?

I have one with the same flaw. Must be common for 1918 Mercs...
