Lucky or Good? First Target of the Day

RLOH

Well-known member
I took my new F75 out to my favorite park to enjoy a beautiful fall day. I used it for a couple of hours yesterday and hunted in the factory default with shielding enabled. When I got out of the truck, I started to disable the shielding figuring I might squeeze an additional inch or so of depth with it off. But, where I turned the detector on has underground wires to run lighting displays. I have NEVER had any luck in this 50 by 75 foot area so I left the shielding on. I was using two tones, sens 85, disc 6, de mode. I swear I did not go five feet when I got a 91-92 vdi with bouncing down to the low 80's. . It pinpointed 7 inches deep and I was not expecting anything but maybe a beaver tail or can slaw. My pinpointer hit something straight in the middle of the plug which is always a good thing as rusty iron is almost always off to the side. I saw silver and out comes a 54 roosie. I was shocked, but re-checked the hole and the pinpointer went off again. Next four targets were wheat pennies! My pinpointer did not hit any more targets within it's range of a couple of inches so I checked the hole with the detector and got a solid 91. I was extremely excited as I was expecting another silver and I was not disappointed as a 1918 well worn merc came out next! One more wheat was an inch or so away. The new F75 is way more stable than the original F75 that I bought shortly after they came out. As a matter of fact, I sold that detector in short order because of it being un usable in many of my spots. Fisher definitely got the emi issue straightened out. I can't wait to try it at some of my other high emi spots.

"Lucky or good?" Lets go with good.........and maybe a little  to the F 75. Good job on un-raveling the dig! Another  HH jim tn

Love those silver pocket spills, those things are definitely rare. Earlier this year I had a similar pocket spill, my first and only but hopefully not my last.
