Lunar Eclipse - April 4th

Mason Jarr

New member
I spent last night in the desert watching and photographing the lunar eclipse. The skies were mostly clear, but there was a strong wind which caused my lens to move slightly and with long exposure time that equals blurriness. I got a few keepers, but nothing like I'd hoped for. This one is as the moon was going into total eclipse with just a sliver not yet in shadow.

Thanks, Dave. Your creativity has inspired me, so I decided to do a Photoshop composite with the moon and one of my star photos from a few weeks ago.

what they call I think the zodiak light? It's supposed to be along the planetary plane and shows up only a couple of times a year, and looks parabolic like that....wondering.

I think it was from the sun. I took that star photo about an hour after sunset so I think I picked up a little glow from the sun. I couldn't see it, but obviously the camera picked it up.

I love it.
