M6 and Tot Lot Gold

I just love it when I come to a tot lot that has recently been destroyed by someone before me.
I get even more excited when I pull coins and jewelry out of their holes.
But it amazes me just how much gold they leave in the chips for me to find.
This gold came out of 5 tots this week.
The earring on the left under the religious medal, was at 6" deep.

I love my M6 with the 5.3

What VDI did the M6 give on that earring?

It had a VDI of -9 in the iron range. It is 14K and is .5 grams.
The religious medal rang in at VDI 4 and is also 14K at 2 grams.
Gold is never consistent. I dig from -15 up to +99.

Hello plidn1,
did you ever see 99 on the display? And if, what did you dig up?

The display only goes to +95. A 1 oz Silver Eagle will pull a +94, same as a silver dollar. I've never seen any target that will go to +95 except iron due to target wrap around.

Check the areas where the parents sit is certainly a good idea...More than one nice jewelry parent find for sure...
