M6 external threshold pot?

Anyone know the definate specs on an external potentiometer to replace the internal trim pot on the m6?

If you don't get an answer, remove the internal and measure it with an ohm meter. Sometimes the board is marked with a value.

Hello CJ,
the threshold pot is a 100k one.
One side is connected to the +5 Volt and the other to the V-. So a 10k will cause some more drain and heat up the regulator needless.
The pots wiper leads to a 3.3M resistor.
I'd use a 100k lin pot, may be a 3-turn precision pot.

Will you upload pictures of the mod? Would be nice I think.

No soldering or desoldering, wires just twisted tight onto trim pot legs, turn trim pot adjust to the left for no hum so external will work correctly
