m6 worth getting or mxt

New member
my wife is allowing me to get a new detector. I like the m6 and mxt these are the two im looking at
plus the 6x10 DD . I have claasic iii 1st gen for 3 years good md but want more power and a screen
with vdi. I'm just looking for a show of hands on which of these mds you like .Plus i like coin/jewel
hunting mostly no need for gold nugget hunting either. I am not a novice at md but im tired of digging everything
and just want more info than my classic iii can give. thanks R-bass

Either one will serve you well. Check the differences, the biggest being the tones on the M6. I tried an M6 but found I still like the threshold of the MXT better and there are advantages to the Relic and Prospect modes even when coin and jewelry hunting. Both machines are powerful, tough choice.

I dont know bought the MXT but we use the M6 and love it we also have two other detectors and I will pick up the M6 95% of the time.easy to learn and easy use gets great depth. And finds the gold .we use it on the Beach as well as land found a nice watch on the beach today wife has it on as we speak. I am sure the MXT is a great detector as well with more bells and whistles

The MXT offers a bit more versatility, but you can't go too wrong with either one. I use the 6X10 DDcoil most of the time on my MXT as I find it slips thru trash a bit better than the stock 9.5", The 5.3 is a great general purpose coin shooter and the 4X6 is a marvel in really heavy trash. The coil selection really enhances the M6, MXT and the DFX.

Hey if she's let you get another detector try slipping a XLT into the mix, I have a couple and I am very happy with them specially when you put a Bigfoot on it

[size=large]Matrix M6. I've had 4 MXT's and an M6 in the past, so what or why, you might ask, made me opt for the M6? Well, here are my personal reasons:
