Hello from St. Louis County, MO...I live not far from the Mississippi River Bridge crossing over into Columbia, IL. I've been here since May 1974, so guess my roots have gone down deeply!

know Diamond well, it`s just 20 miles south. We worked with the Joplin Special rd. cleaning debris ...hauled tons and tons of downed trees on 15th st from Foorida all the way to Rangeline...is was just unreal all the damage there. I know some people over there that are waiting on this fall to detect in fields East of the city that they now call debris fields where the torano dropped all kinds of stuff...no telling what will be in them...I have never seen such devastation.

another detectorist on the Friends and Finds Forum (doesn't post often) that lives down your way, also! In Russell or Russelville, MO....I am forgetful so can't remember for sure! If and when you go 
I hope you find the goodies and maybe something that some of the folks would like to have back...by finding the owners! At any time, our lives can change and lose our lives or all we have worked for and have accumulated like families, homes, furniture and etc.! So pays to love Jesus amd ;loved ones and not material things! I have prayed many times (even in the nights) that God would spare me in the storms and He has; therefore, I give Him the praise and glory as my Provider and Protector! Amen! Ma

MaI don`t see myself going over and looking in those fields but I did get permission today to check out a couple of yards in an old part of town. Next week I might be posting some pics of my finds. Maybe LaRussel is the town, and if so I might know the fellow quite well. He has researched the area very well and has come up with some neat finds ( several seated coins even a 1/2 dime) also some civil war relics...3 belt buckles last I knew...He kept looking and finally found where the encampment was... and an old picnic area by a river, that`s where the seated coins came from...patience and persistance
