Got up out of bed early today at 5:30 hoped to try the beach.
Well it started to rain, so I spent 3 hours scanning old metal detector catalogs.
At 9am it looked iffy out there, decided to grab the Detectorpro, scoop, goody bag and march down to the beach. had the water to myself except for a few swimmers. By 10:30, things changed, couple bus loads of small kids invaded the beach and en mass charged to the water screaming and shouting. More so when they got wet. Stayed away from the little buggers and slowly made my way to the other end of the beach. then made it home by 12:30
My water finds:
2--Twoonies
1--Loonie
4--Quarters
2--Dimes
5--Nickels
0--Pennies

Around 3pm, suffed the Tesoro Silver into my bag-o-gear
and dragged it to the bus stop. Wow I get to use my brand new bus pass.....got off the bus as close as I could to this schoolyard went to before. It was hot and steamy, should have worn shorts. Sweating like a pig hunting the shady tree lined areas of the soccer field netted me some finds.
All of a sudden, I see this black dog come flying my way from across the field. Wouldn't you know it, the dog made a bee line for my bag-o-gear, before I could chase it away, it pee'd on my bag-o-gear. Had to use most of my thirst quencher water to rinse off my bag. About 45 minutes later here comes another dog charging across the soccer field, dang, heads for my bag. This dog was cautious, not knowing what to make of my bag. Got over there in time to scare the dog away from the bag. Wouldn't you know it, 5 feet away from my bag it pee'd on the fence. The owner grabbed his dog and came over, we chatted and I explained about the first dog... Went back to hunting.......shortly there after it started to rain. Stayed under the trees until it left up enough to pack up and leave.
Yes, the bag-o-gear still had that pissy smell when I got home. Sprayed it down with dog/cat odor eliminator, soaking it right now. After a while, it's going into the washing machine.
Here's my schoolyard finds:
1--Quarter
4--Nickels
13--Pennies
1--Sterling Ring
1--Sterling bracelet
1--junk ring
1--Winchester 30-06 cartridge
