Magellen GPS

I'm very new to the GPS world and I have reviewed the video that came with my unit serveral times (Magellen 315/320). But I seem to miss or misunderstand what the video is trying to tell me for some reason (old). All I would like to do is just be able to mark me standing position and know correctly what my position is when needed.

Click create waypoint and youll get a screen indicating WP000001 and a blank place to name it along with coordinates and a pace to put in more information. The WP000001 can b replaced with whatever txt you want say "Home" ...

You can download the manual from the Magellan site.
