Hello to all on the forum.
Certainely have not made an input to this site for quite sometime.( The subject title) can apply to any detectorist from beginner or to self acclaimed expert.
Must point out immediately that the following are my own comments as an individual.
Me!...Ex Tv Repair. The ccts used in most of these detectors are no innovation or magic formula that any manufacturer of metal detectors can claim as their's.
These circuits are all around you in every day life from A.T.M's to that black rectangle by your side right now! (that prevent's you from getting off your fanny)
Winding copper wire on a former will create a magnetic field the principles are left to you now to explore further.
Scenario:..The business end is the so called search coil with different parameters perhaps but basically create a magnetic field... a long in the tooth principle that with the advent of the transistor made posssible what beginners & more experienced on this forum are using now. " If you are looking for the proverbial treasure chest a cheap detector will find it after all like buried or lost items they are never really found where a pick & shovel need to be involved..
To finish... Only meant to post about my recent purchase ( The Tracker IV ) which is ready made.
NB:..but will continue with pictures of my present magnetic machines.
Enough you say!... surely it is fair to speak my thoughts
