Make 2500 in Metal Detecting of Summer School

Here is the bet. I'm a special education teacher and bet my wife I could make the 2500 metal detecting rather then teaching summer school in Buffalo. ( A challenging experience) SHe took the bet. Let's see what happens. Unfortunately, I don't live in an area with tons of swimming, one ok beach. I'll keep people posted. Des in Buffalo

Are you going to get the same total hours to put into it?

Getting time to do it seems to be my problem.
 
Summer school is 15 hours a week, 5 weeks, so 75 hours total. Figue if I go for 3 hours a shot detecting, that;s 25 times out. We'll see. Des

Still waiting for that one. Got a 21d before, and a clipped 77 indian head, only one I've found clipped by a lawn mower.
 
oh man :biggrin: you are going to need some serious luck with that bet! good luck to ya, have fun. i know you just would rather spend your summer metal detecting instead of inside in a classroom and i would too!:clapping:

one time a while ago i figured out what i "brought in" metal detecting and i think it worked out to about 68 cents an hour.
 
If I were you I would cover your bet ! I would sneak out to the Jewelry store and buy her a $2500 ring , rub dirt all over it, give it to her and tell her "guess what I found". She will be happy and you can still do all the MDing you want. LOL:rofl:

I wish you luck. I would love to be able to detect for an income but I find it hard enough to find good productive sites to hit one or two days a week as a serious hobby....much less enough sites to detect hard core in order to produce an income. I've got my minelabs crossed to wish you luck......HH
 
Don't pass up sports fields and grass parks. I have found thousands of dollars worth of gold, platinum and diamond jewelry in grassy areas.
