I just recieved my new Makro WaterProof PinPointer.I did a short Video with a pair of Pivot Head camera glasses.Onlt took 3 times trying to keep the pinpointer in the frame. This one didnt turn out too bad. This is the nicest PinPointer Ive owned so far.I was very surprised is comes with a really nice case to store and carry the pinpointer and extra tips/batteries.They also Provided 2 tip protectors, one scraping blade, one round. These are a nice feature that just clip on and stop any tip wear. There are 4 sens levels.A led light.3 modes of operation:sound/Vibration/sound and vibration.I submerged the pin pointer in the video and tested on a coin for you to see the waterproof ability.I will be field testing this weekend.I hope this helps explain all the features and gives you a good look at what this unit is all about. She said she was worried because I had a blank, dazed look about my face, mud and grass stains on my knees and NO BOOTY in the pouch after hunting the grade school for 1 1/2 hrs. I kinda have a problem with night hunting anyways (hand/eye coordination?) But that pointer falsing all the time, getting stuck on sometimes and 1/4" depth (if that) just makes it frustrating to even hunt. I had a Nokta R/S when I first started and but like you said, not waterproof and that slide switch jammed up with mud after the 3rd target around my neck of the woods.
Then I saw several videos of them and how they act with gold and said "no thanks" plus I need a waterproof pointer for all the rain in the winter here. One other thing, when you had it out the other day, did you have any problems with the speaker packing with mud? If it does that then what? Just rinse and repeat? Thanks for the info. and the really cool LOOOONG video I watched yesterday morning.
I was right there with you! You were right on point with watching the video with my morning coffee etc. I literally laughed out loud when you said that. We nailed the silver didn't we?
Ok i just tested all the gold I have, the smallest item being a gold earing lets say 1/2 the size of a US dime.I also tried a bracelet .I could get the earing with the lowest setting 1/4 inch distance.the highest setting 3/4 -1 inch distance.I got even more distance on the bracelet.Rings of course were banging,2 inches. As far as Mud in the speaker..I was wondering the samething..So far It hasnt happened. If it did a little water would wash it right out.Plus you still have the vibration if the sound was decreased.I have a feeling my Hunt Video's will all be long now with these PivotHead glasses. Its just easier to leave the camera on for the whole hunt.Plus like you said, its like your right there with me.I must look really crazy out there talking to myself for hours LOL.
We shall see. Thanks for checking the gold for me, I really appreciate that.
Don't get me wrong,
