i agree with jack 110% you have to look were gold is lost in higher amounts. goes4ever do you have a large park were the locals go to pick nick, walk the dog. do you have a sports ground, public hall, church, creek were the old timers use to swim. research is good way to find older sites to find older coins and rings go to the library search the old papers in the lost section.
old house sites are not that good for finding gold rings but there are some hot spots under the clothes line by walk ways in garden beds around the letter box and around old trees.
