Managed to pick up a couple more keepers today!

I was able to find a few more keepers to add to my collection today and hopefully will find more tomorrow as well. I found 4 more Wheats dated 1916-d,1919,1930,and 1944-d. I also found a 1941 Jefferson Nickel. The first pic is of the Wheats and the Jefferson Nickel.[attachment 23868 WheatsandJeffersonNickel.png] I managed to find only 1 piece of silver today and here is the pic of the front.[attachment 23869 BarberHalfFront.png] Here is the reverse.[attachment 23870 BarberHalfBack.png] I was shocked when I found the silver coin since I got an Indian Head Penny reading and signal off of it. It was about 10" or so and the signal was strong. I expected an Indian Head Penny and got the silver coin. It sure made my day that is for sure.

Sure beats the Indian Head I was expecting to find. After finding that Barber Half, I didn't really even care if I found another piece of silver because the Half I found was the last thing I thought I would end up digging today. Got to love the BIG SILVER and thanks for the response and HH.

Yours is older as his was a 1900. He got the half a barber quater and a old Canadian quarter in the same hole.
It sure seems like when one get a good coin one of the others gets one too the same day.
Tim also got a high grade as it looks like new 1920D standing lib quarter too.

Great find James and it looks like it will be a great year for you and Tim again.

Sounds like it is going to be a very interesting year between me,Dale, and Tim for the finds of the month. Hope you are able to get out and find some keepers from one of your farmsteads and good luck.

Thanks Joe G. I have a lot of research done and I am just waiting to be able to get out into some fields soon when they start to dry up a bit. Then the finds totals will jump a lot more.

Today if I get out and do some more swinging, I will keep track of how many holes I dig and what the totals between trash items and coins are and let you know.

I was out to one on Friday to see what the X70 would do, lot of trash and rusty washers, but 2 Wheaties. Going to take the Explorer next time and get serious with the Joey and X12.
You get my E Mail saying I got your headphone pads for the NDT?
