Master Hunter CX+, On salt water beaches?

OK, plannin on some florida detecting on the beaches , of course, have used all kinds and many detector brands, some awful, some good, but was thinking of using the MH this year, can't afford to get any more beepers for a spell, was wondering if anybody has tried this or if they know, I think would work OK, but just want to know if any of U guys have done this. Although it ain't recommended for beach hunting I would think since it is designed for prospecting among other things it should suffice at the beach.

It's alright for the beach.I don't have the CX Plus, but I do have the original GMH, CXll and CXlll If it starts falsing alot in the wet sand, just reduce sensitivity(depth). Turning the disc up just past screwtop helps, but you miss alot o'goodies then. Oh yeah, and if you use the pinpoint button in the wet sand, it will signal all over the place, so just pinpoint without it.
The CXlll has a beach mode that has a salt elimination, but I've found that you lose sensitivity to small gold when in beach mode.
You can go full on "All Metal Mode" in the dry sand and go deep. Have fun!Happy Hunting!

You use what you have. May not be the best for that location but it will still work and you will still find stuff. I had my old Grand Master Hunter to Maui twice and had a lot of fun with it. Many better machines for salt water out there but it is what I had so I used it.
