MATH PROBLEM TO SOLVE :nerd:

Dyna_Willie

New member
150 Pre 1982 Pennies = 1lb. 0.6oz.
Copper is going for $2.50lb.
5000 Pennies = $50.00
What is the raw material value of each pre 1982 penny?

I misread the oz. - thought it said 6 not .6

Problem is figuring it out with my math skills  This helps http://www.coinflation.com/coins/basemetal_calculation.php?picture=1909_lincoln_copper_cent.jpg&quantity=50&zincprice=1.0973&copperprice=3.2589&manganeseprice=2950.00&nickelprice=12.3445&Submit=+Calculate+
