max finds excal 10 vs tesoro cleansweep

scrounger

New member
10 days since the record temps at Daytona.
Finds thinning rapidly since holiday crowds.
Finding some deepies with excal other cheaper
Machines ain't gonna find and I think they will stay put
To be found later .part of me wants to switch to
18 in cleansweep to cover more area faster for shallow
Targets before they're gone. Any thoughts?

Depends if you are on wet or dry sand and on what detector you are mating it up with...TigerShark OK. Other detectors are questionable.
You will cover more area, but most likely will not "see" as deep as the Excal. But you know that. Try it you may just score big.
Good luck.

So whats your intension? Using the big coil to clean up the targets at a reasonable depth? Personally id use the Xcal and spend a little more time in the area..... based on targets.

Had a backup minelab
Along sov elite hipmount. Just what I needed. Reduced weight
I can cover a bit more beach.still same circuitry as excal.
Tradeoff is no rechargeable .gotta burn alkalines
