Headed out this morning for a hunt. There was a weather advisory out for a good dump of snow in Edmonton, so I hunted anyway. It was a comfortable -7C / 19.4F to detect. The ground was pretty hard, so I brought along my pick-ax. There were some good signals to be had!

My very first signal was repeatable 83. I was expecting a modern penny, but to my surprise, a 1929 silver dime popped out at about 2 inches deep. Next 2 coins came from the same hole....a measured 9" deep. Out popped a 1918 large cent and a 1935 small cent. Up higher on the slop popped out a 1933 small cent. It was quite a surprise to get these finds today, It was a week ago that I got that gold ring in the same area. Got to go back again. :)
