Found these at an old church site in a late 1700's town in southern NY. I dunno if they're modern or old... Or what they are. Are they buttons? There seem to be broken pieces inside them that might be wire loops, but none are intact. I would think if they were buttons, they'd be near impossible to sew onto a piece of clothing because of the cup... Unless the wire loop was really long.
They were all found within a 10' x 100' area... Any ideas?
