Maybe I've been doing this Wrong???

If I go into the 'Advanced' mode and set recovery, sounds, etc, etc and the other options that are not available under the 'Quick menus then go back into 'Quick' do the setting I made when in 'Advanced' still hold? I know the discrimination pattern still is the same but not sure about all the options. I have used 'Quick' because it's easy to toggle between the smart and digital screens.

Another question:
Many times when I'm around trees the threshold goes silent and stays there all around the tree. Is there a user action for this?

Thanks in Advance
Cliff

I use mine this way too as I do all the settings in advanced, the go to the menu and switch to quickstart, this way I can switch between smart find and digital as all the setting Carry over when you do this, but don't have to mess with the learn or edit modes. To do any changing in setting that are in advance you will have to go back to advanced.
Next time you get nulling around a tree switch to iron mask at a -16 and you will hear why as chances are it is full of rejected targets as this is where many threw their trash years ago when they detected.
